cekom Wins Budget For the Online Presence of Augustinus Hospitals
The Augustinus Hospitals were founded by the Augustinian Sisters of Neuss and the Alexian Brothers of Neuss who are operating numerous health care institutions with more than 2,000 staff members in the metropolitan area of Neuss.
The intention was to give all websites of these institutions a consistent appearance. cekom created the concept, developed the structure in cooperation with the Augustinus Hospitals and designed the layout.
One of the principal tasks consisted in representing the different institutions by a common structure. In the business segments of somatics, psychiatry, care for the disabled and care for seniors, synergy effects occured because of structural similarities.
The webdesign resulted from a media-compatible adaptation of the recently developed corporate design for the print area. A consistent layout was created in which the different institutions present themselves with specific image elements.
The internet presence was implemented with CMS Laurin, where a good deal of customization was necessary. The contents were entered by staff members of the Augustinus Hospitals. In the first stage of extension, 12 websites as well as an intranet site are administrated using CMS Laurin. The total content amounts to about 2,000 pages.
