CMS Laurin 2.0 is now available.

• Technical platforms:
  Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP (LAMP) – alternatively MS, MS IIS, Oracle or similar, PHP
• Price reduction for the LAMP version
• Conversion module to upgrade older versions of Laurin

With the jump to version 2.0, CMS Laurin has been ported onto the Open Source Platform. Now that license fees no longer need to be paid, the price for CMS Laurin can be reduced significantly. A basic license for a full version of CMS Laurin now costs only 8,000 Euros rather than the previous price of 10,000 Euros.

Furthermore, the new version is even faster and more scalable than the old version.

Instead of MySQL, other database systems can also be implemented with the new version – as long as those other systems are SQL-capable (e.g. Oracle).

In addition to running on Linux / Apache, CMS Laurin 2.0 also runs on MS IIS (Win NT or Win 2000 servers).

Other new features of version 2.0:

It’s now possible to physically separate the editorial server from the productive server.

• Advantages: the burden on the productive server is reduced. The editorial server can be in the intranet, while the productive server is in the DMZ (which is visible from the Internet).

Expanded rights administration.

Most extensive adaptability to requirements of search engines and guidelines for barrier-freedom. 

New, convenient module to set up complex tables.

CMS Laurin 2.0 is the final release of test version 1.9, which underwent three months of rugged use and subsequent optimization. Because we would never allow Laurin’s customers to play the unrewarding role of “beta testers.”
