www.vernissartis.com is a new online platform for art collectors and is operated by Wirtschaftswoche. Vernissartis.com offers editions and sculptures of well-known contemporary artists in limited, numbered and hand-signed editions for sale.

cekom was entrusted with the web sites's design, layout and implementation. In order to present the works of art in an attractive way, part of the navigation was implemented as a Flash carousel. A true surplus value for prospective art buyers is offered by an interactive frame selection tool: For every picture, different frames can be selected and presented in a preview. A color switch helps your judgement by simulating the color of the wall you later want to put the picture on.

For implementation, CMS Laurin was used, which offers a large amount of freedom concerning precisely the interaction of CMS contents and shop elements. Therefore e.g. the Flash navigation could be integrated most easily.

The project managers in charge of Handelsblatt expressed their satisfacion: "We would like to thank all staff members for their excellent work. In spite of the tight schedule and other impassibilities you managed to implement the art portal in accordance with our vision."
