In October 2002, cekom’s client Adelta (http://www.adelta.de/) acquired the exclusive worldwide rights to distribute designs by Henry van de Velde.

The completion of the web site Art Nouveau furniture by Henry van de Velde was planned to coincide with the International Furniture Fair in Cologne beginning January 13, 2003. The Internet presence was already online one month prior to the opening of the fair. The concept, design, programming, and adaptation of the contents, including a concept for links and search engines, were all accomplished within just five weeks’ time.

The European art nouveau aesthetic characterizes Henry van de Velde’s designs, which are presented online in a highly aesthetic and web-suitable frame. The pictorial material is of very high quality, but loading times are short. The navigation is clear, and, it goes without saying that the programming was done in a manner which makes this site optimally visible for search engines.

cekom’s CMS Laurin Content Management System  was used in the process of making this site into a reality.

The concept and the search-engine strategy were oriented according to the same client’s website: www.eero-aarnio.com.
