Dr. Thomas Corzelius
Founder and managing director of cekom
Firmly believes that usability is the ”First Commandment.” Spends half of each day at cekom doing what he would otherwise be doing at home: researching in the Internet, searching for new technologies, designing concepts… and looking for his coffee cup, his eyeglasses, or some other small object that has vanished mysteriously. He obviously loves the color red, although he has sometimes also been involved in projects of other hues.

Co-partner with power of attorney, holder of a diploma in commerce
Responsible for calculations, project management, and invoicing. He’s sociable, never gives up, and doesn’t wear oversleeves to protect his shirt cuffs. Repaired an old MG B (color: British racing green) and restored it to perfect running order.#

Office management
Come rain or shine, her presence always ensures a pleasant work environment. From A for application to Z for zip file, our highly versatile colleague with a permanent smile on her face is a master of the full office repertoire and even entertains us from time to time with a jaunty serenade. But perhaps most deserving of a standing ovation is her homemade cake.

Holder of a diploma in design, which she earned with the highest academic grades. Received a prize from Angela Merkel and dressed Cologne’s former RP as a mendicant king. Produces web design and advertising campaigns according to her gut instincts. Feels at home in Myanmar and Vietnam, too.

Art director for screen and print, atelier director
Mistress of all vector and graphic formats. Seems to have a built-in typometer. Special highlight: animated flash films for the Internet and as screensavers. Rides Quarter Horses. Her dog has one floppy ear.

A code warrior of the serene ilk: scientifically sound and well-founded, easygoing, and exact. Also knows an astonishingly great deal about history. Was initially restrictive about user rights because ”I didn’t yet know what sort of person you are."

Our second mistress of graphics and vector formats. Also active in customer contacts. Favorite sentence: ”I’m soooooo nice!” Is seldom contradicted. Famous for her silvery smile.

Even though he doesn’t own a car, you sure can’t take him for a ride. Highly focused and even-tempered, he copes with PHP, HTML and CSS blindfold. His DVD collection will probably enter the Guinness Book of Records eventually.

Some may find her taste in music spine-chilling, but her ideas are anything but scary. What never ceases to amaze is her slender form despite the tons of snacks she consumes. We look forward to seeing what comes next.

Since the 15-year celebration and the brilliant synchronous jump together with mcf into the pool, we have been totally impressed. The likeable young man with the blond mane is not only every mother-in-law's dream (or nightmare), but also an all-rounder who feels right at home both in graphics and programming.

He comes from the distant countryside – our citizen of Bonn in exile with the sassy mouth is always master of the situation and rarely at a loss for a joke. Whether shop or statistics tools, mf knows them all; just at the thought of him, every code problem quakes and wonders whether it should just sort itself out voluntarily.

So young and already a prize nominee: designed the "Puck" (award for best young actor of the Cologne theatre community) in 2008. She is also hard-working, creative, polite, reliable ... simply nice to have as a colleague – or is there a dark side that is as yet unknown? We hope not!

To the delight of his colleagues, this finicky pixel-pusher always finds even the slightest error, and as a notorious critic, is always mercilessly honest too. We predict a bright future for him in quality management. The girls especially love him because he is one of the few male individuals who have learned by themselves that phones stop ringing as soon as you answer them.
